On the evening of July 8, police nabbed a drunk youth with a gun from a hotel near the Jharia bus stand. The police sent him to jail on Sunday after an investigation.
The arrested youth has been identified as Chandra Bhushan Singh Urv Bablu, a resident of Hatlibandh.
The police found a pistol and seven live cartridges in his possession. He was drunk when the police caught him.
He told police he found a gun and a cartridge case, which he picked up and put in his waistband.
The police registered a criminal complaint against the young man and sent him to prison.
